Naked For Satan, Bar
Type:
Bar
Location:
Fitzroy, VIC
Status:
Completed 2010
Naked for Satan is an adaptive reuse project that works carefully within the fabric of an existing building in Fitzroy, transforming it into a bar with a strong sense of character and atmosphere. Rather than overwriting what was there, the design builds on the inherited structure, allowing the history of the place to remain legible and present.
Collaboration with artists played a central role in the project, particularly through custom-made lighting and sculptural installations that animate the interior. These interventions sit in dialogue with the existing building, creating moments of surprise and intensity while maintaining a cohesive architectural language grounded in reuse, making and experimentation.
